How does Learn About Me work?
Use guided Life Story to explore chapter questions, Tell It Your Way to capture individual stories, or Tribute to collect a group keepsake. Each approach has its own access and finishing steps.
Which storytelling approach should I choose?
Choose guided Life Story for chapter structure, Tell It Your Way for a memory you already want to tell, and Tribute for group contributions around someone special. The two personal-writing approaches can be used together with separate access.
Do I need to be a good writer?
No. Guided questions can help you find a starting point. With Tell It Your Way, begin with a few sentences of your own and use optional guidance when it helps.
How do contributors join a Tribute?
Contributors receive an easy sign-up link, create an account for extra security, and then submit responses from phone or desktop.
Can I include photos?
Yes. Guided Life Story and Tribute support photos. Tell It Your Way can start from one uploaded photo or an eligible photo from your own memoir. Photo printing is a separate choice and starts off for independent stories.
What occasions are strong fits for Tribute?
Tribute works well for milestone birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, engagements, retirements, and farewell celebrations.
What language is the experience currently available in?
This website is in English. The writing app includes English and Afrikaans language support. Voice input depends on your browser, selected language, microphone permission, and recognition service.
Does the keepsake include a printed book?
The keepsake is a digital book (PDF) you can download, share with family, or take to a local print shop if you want a physical copy. Printing is not included in the package.
How long does it take to finish?
Guided Life Story packages give you between 6 months and unlimited time depending on the plan. Tell It Your Way has separate annual access. Tribute campaigns run on a deadline set by the organizer. Work in short sessions within the access period of your chosen experience.
Can I buy it as a gift?
Yes. Both Life Story and Tribute can be purchased as gifts. You buy the package, and the recipient receives access to start their own storytelling experience. No writing is required from you as the gift giver.
Do you offer refunds?
A full 30-day money-back guarantee from payment applies to the initial Tell It Your Way annual purchase and every renewal, with no minimum or maximum story count. Guided Life Story and Tribute have their own qualified 30-day guarantees. Refund requests must be made within 30 days of purchase. Life Story is eligible if fewer than 3 chapters have been completed, including the Prologue, and Tribute is eligible if no invites have been sent. Eligible guided Life Story and Tribute gifts follow those product conditions. These voluntary guarantees do not limit statutory cancellation or refund rights.
What role does AI play?
In guided Life Story, AI suggests follow-up questions and helps shape your answers into chapter prose. Tell It Your Way offers optional direction prompts while you write the passages yourself. Review generated writing for facts and phrasing; personalization is not a guarantee of an exact match to your voice.
How much does it cost?
Guided Life Story starts at $19 USD one-time. Tell It Your Way has separate annual access; check the current offer in your account. Tribute starts from $39 USD depending on the contributor package.
How do I contact support?

Is my data secure?
Yes. We use secure hosting and access controls to protect personal stories and contributor information.
Tell It Your Way: stories and access
What is Tell It Your Way?
An independent writing space for the memories you choose. Start with your own writing, an optional idea, or one photo. Add saved passages, return later, and finish each story in your library.
Is it included in my guided Life Story package?
Separate annual access for stories you choose yourself. A guided Life Story package does not include Tell It Your Way annual access. You can use both approaches with their own access. You can hold both types of access. Annual story access does not reopen guided chapter questions.
How much does annual story access cost?
Each annual purchase provides one year. Renewal opens during the final 30 days. Renewing before expiry adds a year to the existing end date; renewing after expiry starts a new year. Review the current offer in your account before payment.
Do I have to use AI guidance?
Write in your own words, with optional AI-assisted suggestions subject to usage limits. You choose which suggestions to use and write the passages yourself.
How does the free trial work?
Eligible active verified accounts can explicitly activate one free trial lasting one calendar month, with no card required. Previous trial, paid, or complimentary Tell It Your Way access can make an account ineligible. Assisted guidance has allowances, including during the trial. Visiting this website does not activate access. At trial expiry, access becomes read/download only, without an additional finishing period. Paid annual access is needed to continue writing. This trial is separate from the guided Life Story Prologue.
What happens after my paid year ends?
After ordinary paid expiry, you have 30 days to finish existing stories and update your book, without starting new stories or requesting new assisted suggestions. Afterward, stories remain readable and previously generated books remain downloadable. Refunds end paid access when processed, without the finishing period. Separate guided access is unaffected.
Can I get a refund for annual access or a renewal?
A full 30-day money-back guarantee from payment applies to the initial Tell It Your Way annual purchase and every renewal, with no minimum or maximum story count. The free trial does not reduce your refund window. An early renewal starts its refund window when payment is made, even if the additional year has not begun. Paid Tell It Your Way access ends when the refund is processed, without the ordinary expiry finishing period. Separate guided Life Story access is unaffected. Email support@learnaboutme.io within 30 days of payment with your order details, or request a refund through the app where available. Requests create support tickets for review; refunds are not automatic. This voluntary guarantee does not limit your statutory cancellation, refund, or other rights.
Does saving an edit change my finished story?
Saving keeps your working changes. Choose Update story when you want those changes to replace the finished version. Resolve any writing still in the composer before finishing or updating.
Can I begin with a photo?
Yes. Start from one uploaded photo or an eligible photo from your own memoir and optionally add a caption. Using a photo to prompt a memory does not automatically select it for printing; photo printing starts off.
Does a finished story automatically go into my book?
No. Finishing keeps a version in your library. Book placement, where available, is a separate choice. A downloaded book is a snapshot and does not change when you edit your writing.
Are saved passages public?
Saving a passage does not publish it publicly. Circle reading, where available, applies to eligible completed content rather than unfinished drafts. Review the sharing options for your account before inviting others.
