1. Acceptance of Terms
By using Learn About Me, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to comply with these Terms of Use and all applicable laws and regulations.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old or have parental/guardian consent to use our Services. By accessing our platform, you confirm that you meet these requirements and comply with all applicable local laws.
3. Account Registration
- You are responsible for providing accurate and complete information during registration. Providing false or incomplete information may result in suspension or termination of your account.
- You must maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- Notify us immediately of unauthorized access to your account.
4. Use of Services
4.1 Permitted Use
- You may use our Services for personal, non-commercial purposes only. Personal use includes creating and sharing content within the scope of our platform’s intended purpose.
- All content you provide must comply with applicable laws and not infringe on any third-party rights.
4.2 Prohibited Use
You agree not to:
- Use our Services for illegal or unauthorized purposes.
- Share any offensive, defamatory, or harmful content.
- Use automated tools (e.g., bots, scrapers) to disrupt or interfere with the operation of our Services.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer or recreate proprietary aspects of the platform.
5. Payment and Access
5.1 Pricing
Guided Life Story and Tribute are offered as one-time purchase packages. Tell It Your Way provides separate annual story access. Current pricing, package features, and access details are listed on our Pricing page and relevant Life Story and Tribute product pages and may change from time to time. Your purchase grants access according to the package you select. Life Story access periods vary by package, and Legacy includes a separate 3-month review window after all chapters are complete. Tribute package allowances vary by contributor tier.
Tell It Your Way annual access and trial
Separate annual access for stories you choose yourself. A guided Life Story package does not include Tell It Your Way annual access. You can use both approaches with their own access.
Each annual purchase provides one year. Renewal opens during the final 30 days. Renewing before expiry adds a year to the existing end date; renewing after expiry starts a new year. Review the current offer in your account before payment.
After ordinary paid expiry, you have 30 days to finish existing stories and update your book, without starting new stories or requesting new assisted suggestions. Afterward, stories remain readable and previously generated books remain downloadable.
Eligible active verified accounts can explicitly activate one free trial lasting one calendar month, with no card required. Previous trial, paid, or complimentary Tell It Your Way access can make an account ineligible. Assisted guidance has allowances, including during the trial. Visiting this website does not activate access.
At trial expiry, access becomes read/download only, without an additional finishing period. Paid annual access is needed to continue writing. This trial is separate from the guided Life Story Prologue.

5.2 Payment Processing
- Payments are handled by third-party providers. Users are subject to the payment processor’s terms and policies.
- We are not liable for payment processing errors or issues beyond our control.
5.3 Refund Policy
Contact support@learnaboutme.io about applicable statutory rights even if the app's voluntary guarantee request window has closed. These guarantees do not restrict rights available under applicable law.
6. Referrals and Free Profile Upgrades
6.1 How Referral Upgrades Work
We may allow you to invite friends through our official referral feature. When a referral offer is available, your profile will show the number of qualifying referrals required for your current level, the free profile upgrade you may receive, and any applicable duration.
Once the required number of qualifying referrals has registered through the official referral flow, the upgrade will be applied automatically, subject to verification and fraud checks.
6.2 Qualifying Referrals
A qualifying referral must be a distinct, genuine new user who registers through your official referral link.
The following do not qualify:
- Self-referrals or duplicate accounts.
- Automated accounts or accounts created using fabricated identities.
- Accounts created, managed, or controlled by the referring user.
6.3 Verification and Referral Abuse
We may review referral and registration activity to confirm eligibility. Automatic upgrades may be delayed while we complete these checks.
If we reasonably determine that a referral is invalid or that the referral feature has been abused, we may exclude the referral, withhold or reverse any related upgrade, and suspend any account involved.
7. Intellectual Property
- All content, trademarks, and materials on Learn About Me are the property of Learn About Me or its licensors.
- You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without prior written permission.
- Users are prohibited from attempting to reverse-engineer or extract proprietary elements of our platform.
8. User Content
8.1 Ownership
You retain ownership of the content you upload to Learn About Me.
8.2 License to Use
By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, store, and process your content solely for operating and improving our Services. This license does not include any commercial use of your content by us.
8.3 Responsibility
You are solely responsible for the accuracy, legality, and appropriateness of the content you upload.
9. Privacy
Your use of our Services is subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- Learn About Me shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the Services.
- Learn About Me is not liable for interruptions or disruptions caused by force majeure events (e.g., natural disasters, third-party failures).
- Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the Services.
11. Termination
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to our Services at our sole discretion, without notice, for any violation of these Terms or other applicable policies.
- Upon termination, we may delete all user data associated with the terminated account, unless retention is required by law.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms periodically. We will notify users of material changes via email or platform notifications. Continued use of the Services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa.
